While Tungsten Carbide Boring bits are ubiquitous to the industry, there are specifications that set the premium brands apart.

Our manufacturers use a special grade of Tungsten Carbide, specific to the requirements of Boring Bits to enable them to be tough enough to hold their fine scribing points without breakage etc, yet hard enough to drill literally 1000’s of holes. Shock Resistant Brazing is also essential, along with a baked on (not painted) non-stick PTFE coating to prevent buildup of resin etc on the body of the bit.
